The Northern Trust - Power Rankings

Things are heating up on the PGA Tour as we head into the FedEx Cup playoffs. It off kicks off this week with The Northern Trust at Ridgewood Country Club in Paramus New Jersey. The worlds best are all in the field this week for what promises to be a hard fought tournament. Interestingly enough, several plays already have multiple wins on the season, while other top ranked players will be looking to capture their first elusive victory this week. Although every player in the field is worthy to be here, lets take a look at a few of my favorites this week...

Dustin Johnson - If you've followed the Tour at all this season, it's easy to understand why DJ would be atop of our list. He's 16/17 in cuts made, has 11 top 10 finishes including 3 victories. He's been on a terror lately, despite a mediocre finish at the PGA Championship (T27).

Justin Thomas - The defending FexEx Cup champion is in a perfect spot to reclaim his title. Having another amazing season, he's 18/19 in cuts made including 8 top ten finishes and 3 victories.

Brooks Koepka - On a terror as of late, still riding on the emotions from his PGA Championship victory. He seems to be able to raise his game to the occasion, as we've seen in Major championships, and I have no doubt he'll be riding high this week.

Justin Rose - One of only a few players to have a perfect record on the season with 19/19 in cuts with an impressive 13 top 10 finishes and 3 victories. I would expect him to keep his streak alive with a strong performance this week.

Tiger Woods - Playing great lately and proving that we haven't seen the end of the Tiger Woods story. He's yet to get a win on the season, but he's been so close he can taste it. He's known for performing under pressure, and as the season winds to a close, I fully expect him to be gunning hard for a victory.

Jon Rham - Another player in the field with 3 victories on the season. Rham is playing great golf and gaining momentum.

F. Molinari - Heading into a course that suites his game nicely. Molinari is having a career season with 3 wins. He's playing consistently, making cuts and almost always in contention.

Adam Scott - A bit of a mediocre season to date, he broke that trend with a great performance at the PGA Championship (3rd). After taking a week off to rest up for this event, I fully expect him to be in tip-top shape this week.

Tony Finau - I love the way Finau has been playing this season. He's firing on all cylinders, long off the tee and putting amazingly as of late. He doesn't have a win on the season yet, but will undoubtedly be looking to change that this week.

Jason Day - Playing consistent, making cuts and proving that he's one of the best in the world. He's got a pair of victories on the season and is looking to be in good condition heading into this weeks tournament.

With so many great players in the lineup, I could easily put together 10 different amazing lineups. I've tried to capture the best bang for my buck and create teams with a couple top contenders while maintaining the team depth. Here's what I'm going with this week for my Draftkings lineups...

Dustin Johnson - $11,500

Justin Thomas - $11,200
