RBC Canadian Open - Power Rankings

As the only Canadian event on the PGA Tour, I'm especially excited for this week as the RBC Canadian Open takes place at the historic Glen Abbey Golf Club. There's a great field assigned to this weeks event, making it difficult to pick a favorite. Two time defending champion, Jhonattan Vegas, is in the field although he's struggled so far this season. Could this be the turning point of his slump, or will we see a new champion?

Here's a look at my top 10 players to keep an eye on this week in Toronto...

Dustin Johnson - The world's number 1 golfer is coming off a difficult week at The Open Championship where he failed to make the cut. I expect him to bounce back this week on a course that I think suites his game quite nicely. He's 13/14 in cuts made this season with 9 top 10 finishes.

Tony Finau - Having a great season so far, but still looking for his first victory. He's 16/19 in cuts made including 6 top 10 finishes. He's performed well at Glen Abbey in the past including a T5 last year.

Bubba Watson - Off to a solid start this season, he already has two victories under his belt, and would love to add another.

Brooks Koepka - Always a contender where he can use his length off the tee to his advantage. I like the way his game style plays on this course. He's only played in this event once in the past, and will be looking to improve upon that result. 10 for 10 in cuts made this season, he's currently one of the most consistent players on Tour.

Brandt Snedeker - Playing well this season, he's had success at this event in the past. He won here in 2013 and finished T5 in 2016. I think he's in a good position to challenge the leaderboard this week.

Kevin Kisner - Coming off a great week at The Open, Kisner will be looking to keep that momentum going this week.

Tommy Fleetwood - 21 of 23 cuts made this season with 9 top 10 finishes. He's playing great and is trending in the right direction to bring home a victory this week.

Matt Kuchar - A horse for the course, he's had great results here in the past, including three top 10's. He's coming off a great week at The Open, where he finished T9.

Adam Hadwin - My top pick for Canadian golfers in the field this week, Hadwin has had a solid season to date with 18/19 cuts made including 3 top 10 finishes. He failed to make the cut here last year, but will be looking to make up for it this week.

Jonattan Vegas - It's tough to count out the two time defending champion. He's had a slow season to date, but will undoubtedly be looking to turn that around at an event where he's proven he has what it takes. He's 15/20 in cuts made this season with only 1 top 10 finish.
