BERMUDA 3s Pro-Am Ups Ante with Resort Credit for Registration Before July 22

(HAMILTON, BERMUDA) – The BERMUDA 3s presented by Goslings – an exciting new golf championship contested by pro-am teams from four international territories -- is offering a $600 resort credit at the championship venue, Fairmont Southampton, for teams registering before July 22.

The 100-day countdown has officially begun with BERMUDA 3s being held October 21-26, 2018. The event is the creation of two golf industry veterans, former PGA chief executive Joe Steranka and Honda Classic Executive Director Ken Kennerly, and is sponsored by the Bermuda Tourism Authority and Goslings. Certified PGA Professionals from the U.S., Canada, Great Britain & Ireland and Continental Europe will lead four-person teams and compete individually for a $100,000 purse. “Those who are ready to represent their country, we want to reward them,” says Steranka, who was instrumental in the growth of the modern-day Ryder Cup. “BERMUDA 3s is a celebration of the game and a chance for golfers to compete at world-class resorts.” Entry fees of $3,125 per person will be accompanied by the special resort credit at the Fairmont Southampton on Bermuda’s stunning south shore. Each PGA Professional and their three amateur partners will comprise one of just 20 teams per region, and will enjoy the extraordinary experiences and competition of the fabled Mid Ocean Club, Port Royal Golf Course and Turtle Hill Golf Club. “For 320 golfers, this will be the experience of a lifetime,” says Kennerly, whose company, K2 Sports Ventures, oversees the Honda Classic and owns The FITTEAM Palm Beaches Marathon. “Not only will they be able to compete for their country, but also enjoy a relaxing week at the Fairmont Southampton.” Bermuda has been a popular golf destination since hosting the PGA Grand Slam of Golf from 2007-’14 at Mid Ocean and Port Royal. The Fairmont Southampton served as the host hotel for dozens of major champions and their families. "International golf tournaments have been a staple in Bermuda for a long time,” says Kiaran MacDonald, the resort’s Regional Vice President, Caribbean and General Manager. “With the optimal October weather and our very own Turtle Hill GC hosting the championship, BERMUDA 3s could be the best one yet.” PGA Professionals or amateurs may register online at bermuda3s.com, via email at info@bermuda3s.com, or by calling (561) 379-2134.
