(KEMBLE, Ontario) – Cobble Beach Golf Links – centerpiece of Georgian Bay’s extraordinary waterfront golf resort community two hours northwest of Toronto – ranks No. 17 in SCOREGolf’s 2015 “Best Public Golf Courses in Canada.”
The 7,134-yard Doug Carrick-design featuring water views from every hole rose 11 spots in the prestigious list. The layout is highlighted by pure-rolling fescue greens with challenging pin locations emphasizing strategically-placed approach shots. Closely mown chipping areas, small pot bunkers and hollows surrounding greens provide for the classic bump-and-run opportunities associated with links-style courses.
“We’re honored our golf course has received this coveted recognition,” says Rob McLeese, President of Cobble Beach. “Doug’s relentless creativity and (General Manager) John Anderson’s imaginative approach to building and shaping resulted in a classic golfers want to play over and over again.”
