WGC - Bridgestone Invitational - Power Rankings

After an exciting week north of the border, the PGA Tour heads to Firestone Country Club for the WGC Bridgestone Invitational. As with all WGC events, the field is packed with worlds best, all looking for a piece of the winners purse. This will undoubtedly be an exciting week with several past champions in the field including Tiger Woods, who has won this event an impressive eight times. What a story that would make if he were to finish atop the leaderboard come Sunday afternoon. That being said, there's a slew of players who will be looking to make sure that doesn't happen.

Here's a look at my top 10 players to keep an eye on...

Tiger Woods - His journey to the winners circle continues, but it's only a matter of time; and what better place to accomplish that than at Firestone, a course he has dominated in the past. I'm excited to see how the week unfolds for Mr.Woods.

Dustin Johnson - The worlds #1 golfer is coming hot off a victory at the RBC Canadian Open, which was great to see after missing the cut at The Open Championship the week prior. He's won this event in the past, and will be looking to enter the winners circle once again.

Justin Rose - Having an exceptional season, with a perfect 18/18 in cuts made which includes 13 top 10 finishes. Rose has been on fire recently and has a great track record at this event. I fully expect him to be in the mix coming down the home stretch on Sunday.

Francesco Molinari - He continues his break out season which includes 3 wins and 7 top 10 finishes. He's been on fire lately, and I wouldn't want to bet against him. Although he doesn't have a great history at Firestone, he's arriving in the best form of his career.

Zach Johnson - I always enjoy rooting for Zach. His calm and quiet demeanor often has him flying under the radar, but he's been playing very solid and consistent as of late. His last 4 events were all top 20 performances which includes both the US Open and The Open Championship. He finished in second place at Firestone last year, and will be looking to top that this year.

Jordan Spieth - Although he hasn't had a standout season, it's tough to bet against the former #1 golfer. He played well at The Open and has a solid history at Firestone, including top 15 finishes in his last 3 appearances.

Rory McIlroy - A bit of inconsistency this season which includes 13/17 cuts made. He has 7 top 10 finishes, which includes a T2 at The Open Championship. He'll be looking to regain a bit of consistency this week on a course he's had success on in the past, including a win in 2014.

Xander Schauffele - Continues to play fantastically this season, and has the ability to raise his game to the occasion, which included his recent T2 at The Open Championship. The WGC is a great event, and I'd expect him to step up for a great showing.

Ricky Fowler - Another player I get excited to cheer for. He's having a solid season which includes 1 victory and 6 top 10 finishes. He has a decent history at this event which includes top 10s in each of his last four outings.

Tony Finau - Playing great golf this season, 17/20 cuts made which includes 7 top 10 finishes. Coming off a solid week at the RBC Canadian Open. This will be his first try at Firestone, and he'll undoubtedly be looking to make it a memorable debut.

And now for a look at my Draftkings lineups... I'm looking for a bounce back week, as my lineups last week failed to produce.
