Mauna Lani Resort Debuts Sunset Golf Cart Tours

Kohala Coast, Hawai‘i – Whether a romantic at heart or someone who simply enjoys the breathtaking beauty of Hawai‘i, Mauna Lani Resort recently debuted Sunset Golf Cart Tours on the resort’s South Course. Sunset Golf Cart Tours open up the splendor of the incredible property to everyone at the most amazing time of day, while the sun sets over the Pacific Ocean.

Mauna Lani’s Sunset Golf Cart Tours are offered daily for $45 per cart (up to two people). Tours begin with optional refreshment purchases at the clubhouse, then head to their first stop at hole No. 7, a 200-yard par 3 overlooking Honoka’ope Bay. The tour continues in hole succession from holes 7 through 13 while the sun slowly creeps towards the horizon. At No. 13, guests stop to take-in the beauty of the sun setting over the Pacific Ocean with the 13th and 15th greens in the foreground. Stop four on the tour takes place at one of the most iconic locales on the Kohala Coast, the 15th hole overlooking Ili’ilinaehehe Bay. This spot is celebrated by Mauna Lani guests as the perfect spot to watch the sun slip over the horizon while watching for the illusive “green flash.” The tour concludes at dusk while driving holes 16 through 18, ultimately ending at the Mauna Lani clubhouse where dinner and drinks at Shiono, are an excellent option.

“Golfer or non-golfer, resort guest or visitor, we invite everyone to experience what our team gets to experience on a daily basis – the beauty of the Mauna Lani Resort, our two incredible golf courses and the Kohala Coast at sunset,” said Scott Christenson, director of golf, Mauna Lani Resort. “Not surprisingly, our Sunset Golf Cart Tours continue to be well-received by all.”
