Arnold Palmer Invitational - Power Ranking

The Tour continues its Florida swing this week with the Arnold Palmer Invitational, taking place at the Bay Hill Championship Course. Designed by the King himself, this Par 72, 7381 yard course, is very much a shot makers course yet also welcomes the long hitters. A course and event that Tiger Woods dominated for years, winning eight times, which undoubtedly helped him forge a special bond with Arnold Palmer. This years field will undoubtedly be especially motivated to perform in memory of Arnold Palmer and his everlasting legacy.

This years field is chalked with talent, with several past champions suiting up including Jason Day (defending champ), Matt Every (2015 & 2014), Martin Laird (2011), Ernie Els (2010) and several others. There's also a laundry list of players who have finished runner up in past years and many others who have ensured their participation in this event for many years.

Here's a look at our top 10 players to keep an eye on...

Ricky Fowler - Leads the Tour in average scoring (68.7), playing fantastic and consistent golf this season. 5/6 in cuts made with three top ten finishes.

Henrik Stenson - Playing great, a very calculate approach to his game, which suites this course very well. Stenson has seen great success at this event in the past finishing inside the top 10 in each of his last four appearances. He's already accumulated four top tens this season and will be looking to add one more this week.

Rory McIlroy - Only his third start of the season, he's found the top ten in both his starts. He should be well rested and ready for another big week.

Zach Johnson - This year will mark Johnsons 14th appearance at this event, which gives him a bit of an edge over the competition. He's played well here over the years including five top ten finishes and I think he'll have some emotional motivation to up his game this year.

Adam Hadwin - His hard work and great play was finally rewarded last week, winning the Valspar Championship. Hadwin is having a career year so far, playing excellent golf, making cuts (6 for 6) with a pair of top ten finishes. I expect him to keep the momentum going this week with another strong performance.

Wesley Bryan - One of our favorite golfers to watch, very creative and starting to find his groove on the Tour. Three top 10 finishes this season so far, coming off a strong performance at last weeks Valspar where he finished T7.

Ryan Moore - A consistent player who tends to plot his way around the course very strategically. That methodical approach should prove beneficial this week. He's 4/5 in cuts made this season including one top ten.

Justin Rose - Consistent play, 6/7 in cuts made this season including three top ten finishes. On fire with his putter, he'll be looking for a that trend to continue at Bay Hill where he's finished top 15 in four of his last five appearances.

Francesco Molinari - Playing great this season combined with a solid track record at this event, makes Molinari a no-brainer for this week.

Tony Finau - Coming off a great week at the Valspar (5th), Finau will be looking to keep that momentum going this week. Long off the tee, his short game has also been on point. He's 5/7 in cuts made this season finding his way into the top ten in three occasions.
