Tour V4 and Tour V4 Slope Patriot Pack Proceeds Are Donated to Support Families of Fallen and Disabled Service Men and Women
Overland Park, KS, – Bushnell Outdoor Products, makers of the No. 1 Laser Rangefinder on the PGA Tour, today announced a 2015 donation of $259,788 to the Folds of Honor Foundation. Since establishing a partnership in 2010, Bushnell has contributed more than $1.2 million, supporting the spouses and children of disabled or fallen soldiers.
Continuing its support of the Folds of Honor Foundation, Bushnell will make two new Patriot Packs available in 2016 featuring the Tour V4 and Tour V4 Slope. A percentage of every 2016 Bushnell Patriot Pack sales will be donated to the foundation’s fundraising efforts. The all-new Patriot Packs come equipped with a Tour V4 or Tour V4 Slope rangefinder, Bushnell carrying case and exclusive Bushnell red (Tour V4 Slope) or blue (Tour V4) silicon protective skin. Manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) is $299 (Tour V4) and $399 (Tour V4 Slope).
“Bushnell has been one of our longest standing partners and we’re proud to be associated with a company that cares so deeply for our cause. Through Bushnell’s donations and marketing efforts surrounding the foundation, we’re able to make a significant difference in the lives of families affected by wounded or fallen soldiers,” said Major Dan Rooney, Folds of Honor Foundation president and founder.
Founded by Major Dan Rooney in 2007, the Folds of Honor Foundation provides educational scholarships to the spouses and children of service members disabled or killed during U.S. military service. Major Rooney, a former F-16 pilot who served three tours in Iraq, founded Folds of Honor Foundation to ensure that families of fallen and disabled service members are never left behind on the field of battle.
The Tour V4 and Tour V4 Slope Edition are faster than their predecessors (Tour v3 and Tour v3 Slope), 30 percent smaller and more ergonomically designed to increase the ease and accuracy in acquiring yardages. The Tour V4 Slope Edition uses patented, Tour trusted technology to provide compensated distances for elevation changes. The USGA’s recent revision of rule 14-3, enables players to use Distance Measuring Devices (DMD) with a slope function, so long as the function is disabled during play. Bushnell designed the Tour V4 Slope Edition with the ability to turn the slope function on and off, making it legal for tournament play.
Bushnell, the number one choice of professional golfers, offers a full array of rangefinders, which continue to change and improve the way golfers assess distances, ultimately improving performance.
