With the towering beauty of Vancouver's North Shore Mountains serving as a backdrop, Mayfair Lakes in Richmond is a genuine golf sanctuary, offering year-round golf in a secluded country ambiance that's just minutes from Vancouver. The intrigue lies in the abundance of lakes and waterways that come into play on 13 of the 18 holes, adding as much challenge as aesthetic appeal to the course.
In fact, this 6,641 yard Les Furber design has had the privilege of hosting many national tour events, including the Canadian Tour's Telus Open and BC Tel Open (1994-2000), and continues to rank as a favourite among PGA and Canadian PGA tour professionals.
This is the setting that inspired the great Jack Nicklaus to create a golf course as unique as himself. This par 71, 18-hole course winds along a gentle valley floor offering you a spectacular setting as your golfing skills are tested to the fullest. Winner of numerous awards since its opening in 1996, Nicklaus North has played host to events such as the Skins Game and the Shell's Wonderful World of Golf, welcoming some of golf's biggest names such as Jack Nicklaus, Nick Faldo, Ernie Els, Greg Norman, Fred Couples, John Daly, Vijay Singh and Stephen Ames to name a few.
Furry Creek GC
Furry Creek is not a golf course that one merely plays - it is an enriching adventure to be savoured. Considered one of the most beautifully landscaped playgrounds in the province, Furry Creek delivers an unforgettable experience with its breathtaking beauty, dramatic play and first-class facilities. As BC's most scenic golf course, Furry Creek perfectly captures the most spectacular qualities of this part of the country. This par 72, 18-hole golf course designed by Robert Muir Graves and built in 1993 offers panoramic ocean views and encounters with abundant wildlife, and is just 35 minutes north of Vancouver, along the scenic Sea to Sky Highway to Whistler.
Olympic View GC
Olympic View Golf Club, aptly named for its beautiful views of Washington State's Olympic Mountains, is located just 20 minutes outside of Victoria's downtown core, on the southern tip of Vancouver Island. Not to be outdone by its big brother, the Pinnacle Course is an impressive 9-hole, par 32, 1,984-yard course built to the same exacting standards as the Canyon course.
